quercetin 100 mg

A flavonoid found in onions, blueberries, citrus fruits, and apples are great sources of quercetin. Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants. Quercetin can help stabilize the cells that release histamine in the body and thereby have an anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effect. Quercetin is what gives Snifflex its bright yellow color.

NAC 24 mg

N-Acetyl Cysteine: is an amino acid that helps break down mucus. When taken as a supplement is turned into cysteine and glutathione by the body. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

elderberry

Elderberry gives Snifflex its delicious taste. Used for centuries to treat colds, it also helps relieve nasal congestion and has anti-inflammatory properties. As an added bonus, it has antiviral properties.

vitamin c

A natural antihistamine and works by destroying circulating histamine.

bromelain 30 mg

A protein-digesting enzyme found in pineapple and is a popular supplement in Europe for sinus discomfort. The German Commission E approved bromelain enzyme for reducing general sinus swelling. Studies have also suggested that the enzyme decreases cough related to post nasal drainage and mucous membrane inflammation.

My 3-year old daughter recently developed allergy-induced asthma, and we didn’t want to give her the prescription drugs with questionable side effects. My wife researched natural alternatives and came across many of the ingredients listed in Snifflex. We tried it and it seems to have really helped. She was coughing every night and congested and wheezy. After taking this, she’s not coughing and able to sleep without Albuterol treatments. The directions say to dissolve, but she always chews them. I contacted the company on Facebook to see if this was alright, and they quickly responded letting me know the chewing should be just fine. Good product and customer service. I will continue to purchase.

Our son was on zyrtec forever and was, in general, a difficult child to manage. It wasn’t until I realized that other parents had behavioral problems with zyrtec that I put the two and two together and I dropped that medication completely. I searched for a more natural product and stumbled across this. I am very happy with this product as it helps with seasonal allergies and does not have the terrible side effects of zyrtec. Thank you very much!

  3. Rated 4 out of 5

I stumbled on Snifflex while searching for non-grape-flavored alternatives to Dimetapp Cold & Allergy for my 9-year-old’s constant sniffles. He loves the taste, and it seems to work well. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that the instructed dosage (no more than four tablets in 24 hours) isn’t really enough to get him through the day – the two tablets he takes in the morning wear off by the time he gets home from school, and even with a second dose after school, he’s sniffly again by bedtime. That’s how we know it’s working, I guess, but it would be nice to have longer relief.
